What this website collects, who handles it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. Written plainly, because you should not need a lawyer to read a privacy policy.
← Back to the main siteWe collect only what you type into a form on this site, and we use it only to do the thing you asked for. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. We do not hold resumes. We do not build a profile on you. If you want what we hold deleted, call or email and it is deleted.
These are the only places this site takes information from you. Each one is voluntary — nothing on this site requires an account, a password or a login.

On the request materials page. Your name, your email address, which materials you want, and whether you ticked the box agreeing to occasional emails.
Used forSending you the material you asked for. If you ticked the box, occasional veteran resource emails, which you can stop at any time by replying and saying so.
On the job search page. Your name, a phone number, an email address if you choose to give one, and which job you applied for.
Passed onYour name and phone number go to the employer for that job, so they can call you. That is the whole point of the form and it is the only place we hand your details to anyone else.
Not collectedNo resume, no work history, no account, no password. We do not keep a candidate file on you.
Stated plainly so there is no doubt.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to recruiters, not to anyone. There is no arrangement under which anybody pays us for your details, and there never will be.
It tells us how many people came to the site, roughly where they came from, and which pages they read. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising. There is no session recording on this site — nobody is watching a replay of your screen. Google's own explanation of what it collects is linked below.
This site sets a small number of first-party cookies, placed by Google Analytics, so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. They are not used for advertising and they are not shared with anyone. You can block or delete them in your browser and every page on this site still works. Our hosting provider may also use strictly necessary cookies to keep the site running and to block abuse.
A website is never run entirely by the people whose name is on it. These are the services this site actually uses, and what each one sees.
You do not need a reason and you do not need to put it in writing.
Contact and material requests are kept while we are still dealing with your request and for our own records afterwards. Job applications are kept only long enough to pass your name and number to the employer and to follow up on it.
Richard Schott. This is a one-person business. Nobody else has access to the form entries except the employer you specifically applied to, and only for that job.
Call 785-579-9071 or email schott.richard@vsgsolutions.org and say you want your information removed. It comes out of our records. You can also ask us what we hold on you and we will tell you.
Children. This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, call or email and it will be deleted.
Emails you asked for. If you ticked the consent box on the material request form, you may get occasional emails with veteran resources. Reply to any of them and say stop, and it stops. Asking for a document without ticking that box does not sign you up for anything.
Links to other sites. These pages link out to VA.gov, other government sites, veterans service organizations and employer websites. Once you leave this site you are on theirs, under their privacy policy, and we have no control over what they collect.
Security. This site is served over an encrypted connection. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise — which is a reason the forms here ask for as little as they possibly can.
Changes. If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
